Pixel Lineage Beginner Guide: Your First Run
Start on Normal with a class whose timing you can repeat. Claim codes first, use your race and talent rolls, then make the Castle-to-adventure loop work before chasing rare endgame gear.

Before you select Set Out
- Join the community and claim the current codes at the Goblin Merchant. You may receive separate race spins, talent spins or lives.
- Read your race and talent passives. A useful ordinary roll is enough to learn the game; rare rolls are optional improvements.
- Choose a base class. OyO recommends Warrior for new players because its attack timing is a straightforward sliding click prompt.
- Equip compatible gear and review your Skills. Open Set Out, pick the starting area and select Normal. Choose solo or multiplayer to suit the run.
Make one fight your first goal
Pixel Lineage uses active timing inside turn-based battles. Pay attention to the attack prompt and the defensive response; choosing an action does not remove the need to execute it. Warrior and Thief have different attack prompts in the walkthrough.
After the fight, read your HP and the available route choices. A shop option in the guide offers a half-health heal. If the next encounter is too much for the hero, use Return Home between fights; the walkthrough places it at the lower left.
Protect the hero and the equipment
The beginner walkthrough describes three hero lives. Losing a combat and returning home consumes a life; returning home voluntarily between fights is a separate action. At low health, make the decision before the next battle begins.
Keep useful spare equipment in the Inn. When a hero has one life left, store items you can move before taking another serious risk. Check any code life in the inbox rather than resetting the hero in hope of a free refill.
Back at the Castle
| What you brought back | Next useful action |
|---|---|
| Equipment and materials | Compare compatible equipment, store spares at the Inn and read the Blacksmith success chance before using upgrade stones. |
| An egg or a pet | Use the Ranch and examine the companion skills. A pet can add attacks, protection or healing on its turns. |
| A new act unlocked | Inspect the Ancient Portal. The creator shows it as the way to return to unlocked acts with a party. |
| A shrine route | Read the available Super class choices before committing to a branch. |
You are ready for the next run when…
- You can use your own class attack prompt and react to enemy attacks.
- You know where to redeem, store equipment and manage a pet.
- You can judge your remaining health and lives before selecting another encounter.
